What is Official World Record?

Official World Record, the record of world records with values of the XXI century that distorts the records of the XX century

Official World Record Association was born in the 21st century in Barcelona (Europe) as a non-governmental organization whose purpose is to promote, verify, catalog and register world records.

We do this with the utmost rigor and seriousness possible, but at the same time helping as much as possible the applicants to achieve a record, looking for the easiest and most viable solution for its real verification.

This personalized treatment for each record proposal is one of the best characteristics of the association with specialized judges according to the different categories of records. Instruction judges admit and verify world record requests, prepare custom files for each record proposal, and propose rules and regulations to be followed when setting or breaking world records according to the various accepted categories. Finally, the International Acceptance Committee is the body that approves or denies the category, and the rules and regulations to establish or break the record. If all the filters are passed, the records are awarded with the corresponding certificates, trophies and medals for those who manage to establish the Official World Records

In addition, we preserve the romantic spirit of knowledge for the sake of knowledge, not commerciality, something that other registers have abandoned to launch into extreme commercialization.

And one of our main values and that we love, is to make a difference to contribute to society and universal wisdom, in the end one of our main objectives. It is for this reason that our NGO is dedicated to recording records that no one else would, because they are non-profit contributions and the information and documentation helps increase the wisdom of humanity about all kinds of facts or special events in the world.

spectacle of the biggest wave made with Kitesurf in 2017 by Nuno Figueiredo in Nazare, Portugal, among many more.

We have registered many other records from around the world such as the record of penalty shootouts (inclusive) with the Sanitas Foundation (for the promotion of Health and social transformation) during the Inclusive Sports Week in Madrid. Also other important records made in America such as the largest number of apartments sold in less than 20 hours starring Jürgen Klaric, or the world’s largest poetry book written in Puerto Rico (United States) are just some of the most impressive examples. As well as medical records in South Korea and the Philippines with spectacular knee operations on very elderly patients, or others of more conventional but no less spectacular such as the largest diamond in the world or the building with the largest and tallest letter in the world located in Dubai. A variety of categories make up our database of world records, specialized in inclusive records often starring extraordinary people with some type of physical impairment.

WHY OFFICIAL WORLD RECORD IS DIFFERENT

We promote world records among non-profit organizations, NGOs, for charitable purposes, and for people with disabilities or fundamentally social problems, as a basic tool to publicize social causes, or promotion to raise funds for entities designed to provide community Services.

One of our most rewarding jobs is promoting inclusive world records, where no one is excluded from being able to star in a world record for having some kind of disability or mental or physical problem.

To make a record is to break the limits of people to achieve a desire for collective improvement of the human condition, and everyone can go further and exceed their limits.

Another of our objectives is the promotion of records, to increase the knowledge of unique or exclusive things in the world, promoting what each person can contribute to the rest of humanity.

In addition to this, also one of the purposes is to help disseminate exceptional places and events from around the world to society in general to help the dissemination of culture and collective knowledge.

For all these reasons and purposes to be developed, the association has been considered an NGO since its main purpose is to help achieve personal improvement and disseminate cultural facts of collective interest worldwide.
