For more than five decades, Shree Bidada Sarvodaya Trust has stood as a beacon of hope, compassion and commitment in the field of rural healthcare. From the year 1973 to 2026, the Trust has conducted its Medical and Surgical Management Camp for 52 consecutive years without interruption. This remarkable journey represents not only consistency but an unwavering dedication to humanitarian service. Conducted every year from the 1st to the 22nd of January, the camp takes place at Shree Bidada Sarvodaya Trust in Bidada, Mandvi Taluka, Kutch District, Gujarat, India. In a region where access to advanced medical facilities can be limited, especially for rural and economically disadvantaged communities, this annual camp has become a lifeline. What began as a humble initiative has grown into one of the most respected and impactful healthcare service programs in the country. Every year during the 22 day camp, an average of 10,677 patients are examined, based on a four year average. These patients come not only from the rural areas of Kutch district but also from different parts of Gujarat and various states across India. Many travel long distances with hope in their hearts, knowing that they will receive quality medical consultation and treatment at minimal or no cost. For thousands of families, this camp represents access to dignified and affordable healthcare that might otherwise be beyond reach. Maintaining continuity for 52 consecutive years is an extraordinary achievement. It requires meticulous planning, sustained financial support, strong community participation and dedicated leadership.  Every January, preparations begin months in advance. Infrastructure is organized, operation theatres are prepared, medical equipment is arranged and volunteer teams are coordinated. The smooth execution of the camp year after year demonstrates the Trust’s organizational strength and deep rooted commitment. The impact of the camp extends beyond numbers.

On average, 570 surgeries are performed each year, based on a four year average. These surgeries span multiple specialties and address a wide spectrum of medical conditions.
